Huntington Beach, CA – Poseidon Resources (Surfside) LLC (Poseidon), developer and owner of the 50 Million-Gallon-per-Day (MGD) Huntington Beach Seawater Desalination Project (Project) today announced it has selected GHD to lead a team serving as the Owner’s Engineer (OE) for the Project. The Project is in the final phase of the permitting process. Poseidon has applied for a Coastal Development Permit (“CDP”) from the California Coastal Commission and expects the Commission to consider approval of the permit later this year. “We are thrilled to have a company of GHD’s caliber work with us on the engineering, procurement and construction of our Huntington Beach Project,” said Poseidon Vice President Scott Maloni. “GHD was selected following a competitive process that involved a number of highly-qualified teams. We are encouraged by the broad international interest in the Project and look forward to working with GHD to move the Project into its next phase of delivery,” said Maloni.
