Carlsbad, CA -- An independent water quality study was conducted between 2014 and 2016 to compare data before and after the integration of desalinated water produced at the Carlsbad. The results were overwhelmingly positive.
The integration of desalinated water improved overall water quality by decreasing total dissolved solids and chlorides and the desalinated water exhibited much lower water hardness and alkalinity. This improved water quality and purity may help extend the life of household appliances like water heaters – saving consumers money and increasing household efficiency.
“Desalination must be included in any discussion of future water sources for Orange County."
